“Life isn’t all Haha Hee Hee” as Meera’s Syal’s book suggests, but in Bollywood, the comedy genre has its very own niche and following. For an all-rounded movie spectacle a la Dharma Productions style, any given movie should have portions of emotion, drama, dance, action and comedy. It can be said that in recent years, what is successful comically has altered because the audiences seem to have evolved in terms of what they find makes them laugh. However, it would be right to say that each Bollywood fan worldwide is able to list their favourite funny films in an instant. Here’s a special and unique selection of the films that continue to make us laugh until our stomachs hurt…

Shah Rukh Khan set to romance Anushka Sharma under YRF banner

The super jodi of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will soon be back on screens. Anushka has bagged yet another film with King Khan, but the bigger news is, she'll be directed by the King of Romance, Yash Chopra.

Shah Rukh Khan is set to romance Anushka Sharma once again. Headlines Today has learnt that the SRK-Katrina Kaif starrer film that Yash Chopra is directing will feature Anushka as a parallel lead. While SRK had recommended Katrina's name to YRF, Anushka bagged the role because the big daddy of YRF, Yash Chopra, was convinced of her histrionics.

Anushka has now become the only heroine ever to have been directed by both Daddy Yash and Son Aditya Chopra. Among the heroes, this feat has only been reserved for Amitabh Bachchan and King Khan. So, the spot light seems to shift from the Priyankas, Kareenas and Deepikas to the Bangalorean, who is slowly, but surely inching her way to the top in B-town.

023.jpgWe all know of the ZOOM association as media partners with Yashraj Films and their big hit, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. In fact, Bollywood’s favourite TV channel has been associated all through with the movie, from doing contests, to being media partners, to airing exclusive songs, etc, etc.

As part of the same association there has been a lucky coupon on all the movie’s DVDs with which movie buffs could win a gamut of prizes — from more music, DVDs, VCDs, the stars’ costumes to even SRK’s yellow car in the movie.

rnbdj001.jpgRemember, how the trade had written off 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' when it was released on 12th December last year? The slightly slow morning of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, thanks in no small measure to the bomb attacks by terrorists in Bombay on November 26, 27 and 28, had set tongues wagging that the film was doomed.

But, of course, the love story has gone on to become an all time blockbuster. And how huge is it exactly?
