'Ladies v/s Ricky Behl' does better than 'Badmaash Company'

Now this one is really a strange case of a film which wasn't really hot around it's release, didn't quite see roaring
reviews coming it's way, wasn't exactly acclaimed by the audience either and still managed to have good enough footfalls that ensured that it turned
out to be a decent success. 'Ladies v/s Ricky Behl', pretty much an assembly line film from the house of Yash Raj Films, has managed to nett just
under 25 crore total in it's first week, hence turning out to be an average affair.
After opening on an okay note, the film held on well over
the weekdays and escaped a crash. Of course by the time this Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma film entered it's second weekend, the cracks were
visible. However by then the film had earned it's moolah and was already in profits. Since the film is pretty much an in-house affair for the makers,
it going to be yet another entry that would add on to the 'green' in the balance sheet. Also, while business wise it has done better than 'Band
Baaja Baaraat', even for Anushka it is a matter to be happy as the film is all set to surpass the 33 crore total of 'Badmaash Company'.
On
the other hand 'Lanka' had failed to garner any impressive numbers and is just off the theatres in the second week. The film was anyways struggling
to begin with and with audience hardly enticed enough to check out the film, there were just no takers for this Manoj Bajpayee, Arjan Bajwa and Tia
Bajpai starrer. With the film struggling to reach even the 2 crore mark, this is yet another Vikram Bhatt presentation (after 'Phhir' this year)
that has failed to make it's presence felt in theatres.
