Maneesh Sharma’s BAND BAAJA BARAAT (Wedding Planners) produced by Yashraj Films has been nominated in this year’s Asia Pacific Screen Awards best film category along with some of the films that have been winning accolades and honours across the globe. They include Golden Bear winning Iranian film NADER AND SIMIN - A SEPARATION by Asghar Farhadi, Cannes Grand Prix winner ONCE UPON A TIME IN ANATOLIA by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, and China’s blockbuster hit LET THE BULLETS FLY.

Two Indian documentary films MARATHON BOY and PINK SARIS made by UK based Indians have been nominated in the best documentary feature category.

The nominations were announced in South Korean city of Busan, earlier known as Pusan. 37 films out of 240 entries were selected for various award categories.
