2008 has been a lucky year for actress Anushka Sharma. Not only did she make her Bollywood debut with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, her first film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi turned out to be a blockbuster.

She believes that “No one does a film keeping awards in mind, but these definitely work as an energizer for any actor.”

Anushka says, “ Rab Ne .. has done very well at the box office and I’m looking forward to more such challenging roles. I feel fortunate that I did my first film with Shah Rukh and Adi. It’s a matter of great satisfaction that my role was praised. I am already feeling rewarded for my role and the film’s performance.”

Anushka says that when she signed the film, she was determined to be as professional as any established Bollywood actor. She says, “I think to a great extent I was successful in doing that. I’m happy to say that my contribution in the film has been as important as other team members. My critics have praised my work and fans have made the film a big success so I have all reasons to feel awarded already.”
