The slightly slow morning of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, thanks in no small measure to the bomb attacks by terrorists in Bombay on November 26, 27 and 28, had set tongues wagging that the film was doomed.

But, of course, the love story has gone on to become an all time blockbuster. And how huge is it exactly?

It is the biggest grosser of Yash Raj Films so far, worldwide. The film’s net all-India collections are over Rs. 85 crore as against Yash Raj Films’ previous best, 'Dhoom:2' (Rs. 80.6 crore).

Not just in India, 'RNBDJ' has also done phenomenal business abroad. It has reportedly grossed Rs. 40 crore Overseas, making it the biggest Hindi hit of 2008.

In the UK, its gross of £1.5 million makes it the biggest hit of the last two years! In the Middle East, the film co-starring new heroine Anushka Sharma has grossed a whopping $2.25 million, making it the biggest grosser of all time there. Its US gross is $2.1 million. The story is the same in Australia, Africa and Asia.

The film completes fifty fantastic days of its run worldwide and still has a sizeable number of prints in circulation!
