Catfights, insecurities and cut throat competition are not new for the tinsel town. Many actresses have been the brunt of this rash industry, and rumor mills suggest that the highly talented actressParineeti Chopra is also feeling the pinch of B-Town.
After being inactive post Kill Dill, Parineeti is away from the limelight too. Recent news conveyed that the Ishaqzaade actress was being considered for the female lead role in Salman Khanstarrer Sultan. The film Sultan is much in spotlight for its leading actress, many actresses have been speculated to be a part of the film, but Parineeti is said to be shortlisted for the same.
However, not everything is rosy for the cute actress Parineeti. Rumors making rounds suggest that Parineeti opted out from the film Sultan as the makers wanted to have actress Anushka Sharma as the female lead and had offered Parineeti the second lead in the film. Both the actresses Anushka and Parineeti are YRF’s talent bundles, but this decision did not go too well with Parineeti.
Speculations say that because Parineeti did not want to play the second lead in the film, she opted out of it. Pari has been away from the silver screen since a long time, but seems like she doesn’t want to take a risk of being labeled as the second lead so early in her career. Whereas, the PK actress Anushka Sharma, who is riding high with back to back films, seems to be all blissful with this offer in her kitty. No clarifications or official announcements for the same have been made.
Not sure about the tons of rumors making rounds, Sultan’s lead actor Salman had earlier clarified on the star cast saying that the movie Sultan will have two leading ladies, further adding to the details, one of the actresses will be a senior one and one will be a new face.
Now, which actressFINALLY bags the role opposite Salman Khan is still a mystery.

Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma will reportedly be working together again in an upcoming Yash Raj Film, according to reports.
Bollywood Life reports that the chemistry between the two in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ impressed Aditya Chopra to the extent that he wants to work with the popular twosome again. Previously, they have churned out successful films like ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ and ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ under the banner. Despite their history, Singh and Sharma have always got along well with one another.
A source close to Singh told Bollywood Life, “Ranveer has not committed to any film post Bajirao Mastani as of now.”
We all know that recently PK actress Anushka Sharma has started a production company and is working with her brother. Currently, she is working on the film NH10 that is being directed by Navdeep Singh is also something that we have come to know. The shooting of the film is about to get complete in March 2015 as we are told and post that, the actress has plans to once again produce with Navdeep and film director Aanand L Rai.
This upcoming film has been titled, Canada and as far as we know, the film was supposed to be produced by Abhay Deol. Abhay had plans to produce this film way back in 2011 but had shelved it because he wished to give a shot with a film, titled, Basra that dealt with human trafficking. This Basra too never took off and now, Anushka who is currently working with Navdeep has felt that Canada could be produced too.Though the actress has not given us the confirmation nod on the news yet, we are somehow inclined to believe in it. Navdeep had worked with Abhay in the critically acclaimed film, Manorama Six Feet Under and since then, the duo had thought of working on several films but none of them could actually materialize.
Once Abhay had dropped his thoughts on working on Canada with Navdeep and Anushka got the clue of this film, it had to be her baby henceforth! Since last September, Navdeep had been planning to make Canada that is based on a political theme ever since, Abhay got busy shooting and making another film ‘One by Two’ directed by Devika Bhagat and this was the hint for Navdeep to look for other options. So, shall we say that Abhay’s loss is Anushka’s gain? Only time can tell!
According to sources, the actress has been finalised for Excel Entertainment’s next
From the looks of it, Anushka Sharma may well be Sidharth Malhotra’s leading lady in Excel Entertainment’s next, which earlier had Aamir Khan in the lead. Apparently, producers, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, were looking for a fresh pair. Since they’re working with Anushka in Dil Dhadakne Do, they thought the actress would be apt for the role. Interesting jodi, we say.
Bollywood actors Sidharth Malhotra and Anushka Sharma might soon be seen together on the big screen as it has been reported that they are scheduled to be cast opposite each other in an upcoming film.
According to a leading tabloid, the duo have been approached to be a part of the Indian adaptation of the French movie Priceless which was released way back in 2006.
The yet untitled film is to be directed by Tarun Mansukhani of Dostana fame
It has even been added that Sidharth and Anushka have said yes to the mega-project which will apparently be a joint venture of Bollywood honchos Karan Johar and Siddharth Roy Kapur.
The film which is to be directed by Tarun Mansukhani of Dostana fame is yet to be titled. Sources have added that Alia Bhatt was initially being considered for the female lead before it landed on Anushka’s lap.
One of the two actresses will be seen in Tarun Mansukhani’s next
Tarun Mansukhani has kept his long awaited sequel, Dostana 2 on a hold and is now ready for his next project. This time the director will remake French director Pierre Salvadori’s 2006 film Priceless (Hors De Prix). The film will be produced by Karan Johar and it will star Sidharth Malhotra in a lead role. According to sources, Karan wants either Alia Bhatt or Anushka Sharma to be the female lead in the film. KJo is impressed with both the actress’s acting potential and thinks both of them are perfect for the role. Both the actresses are aware that Karan has them in mind. While Alia and Sidharth have come together before in Student Of The Year, this will be the first time Anushka will work with Sidharth and Karan if she signs the film.
After his success with Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, we hear that Shah Rukh Khan may be returning to his old (read, YRF) hunting grounds. The King Khan, it would seem, is in talks with director Maneesh Sharma (of Band Baaja Baaraat and Shuddh Desi Romance fame) to star in his next project for YRF.
“Shah Rukh is busy shooting for Happy New Year at the moment. Yes, he did have a meeting with Maneesh and has verbally committed to play the lead in his film. However, he is yet to sign on the dotted line,” said a source from the production house.
Known for being staunchly loyal to the YRF camp, SRK last worked with the production house in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
In the meantime, YRF is looking at the possibility of roping in a top actress to star opposite the King Khan in Maneesh’s film. Since Deepika Padukone is already working with SRK in Happy New Year, the two names that are being considered are that of Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. “Since both the actress have bulk dates to allot for the film, let’s see who bags the opportunity,” our source added.

The last couple of days grapevine has been abuzz about Tollywood debut of Bollywood siren Anushka Sharma being roped in for a Telugu film. Apparently, she is going to be paired opposite a big hero of Tollywood leading to speculation that Anushka has been signed up to be cast opposite Pawan Kalyan in Gabbar Singh 2. If that really does happen it would be a casting coup of sorts.
Pawan Kalyan is all set to get onto floors, and this is for the filming of his latest movie ‘Gabbar Singh 2’. Racha fame director Sampath Nandi is handling the direction, while Powerstar himself is writing the story. The names of Kajal, Samantha and even Shruti Haasan are considered for this project, to don that lady-Gabbar role. However none of the existing star-heroine got a green signal from the unit. Later it is heard that Praneetha is zeroed on for the role, but the makers denied it. They have confirmed that a star Bollywood heroine is being roped for the role, but haven’t revealed the name.
Wonder what the filmmakers have to say about it.

Navdeep Singh has asked Anushka to step into Freida’s shoes and kickstart his much-delayed film.
After Vidya Balan, it seems it is Anushka Sharma’s turn to play a lady detective.
Apparently, the actress is in talks with producers of Navdeep Singh’s NH 10—a film touted as the Bollywood debut vehicle of Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto. The actress had however quit the Phantom Production’s project in May this year.
Navdeep (of Manorama Six Feet Under fame) has been struggling to find a heroine to play a lady detective in his next project.
First, it was Freida, who walked out of the film. She had signed the film in November last year, but officially walked out before walking the red carpet at Cannes sighting “tardiness on the part of the producers”.
Explaining her position, a friend of Freida had then told Mirror: “The film kept getting postponed. How long could Freida go on blocking her dates and keep her other commitments on hold?”
Later, Sonam Kapoor was approached for the same role but she refused to step into Freida’s shoes.
Now, it seems Anushka might land the role.
A friend of the actress told this newspaper, “Anushka is considering the offer. She is in talks with Phantom Productions and Navdeep Singh. She will take a call very soon.”
